Prince Kpokpogri, the ex-boyfriend of Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh, has criticised Nigerians who are celebrating the ongoing marital crisis between actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

Taking to his Instagram story, Kpokpogri expressed disappointment over how many Nigerians seem to find amusement in other people’s personal struggles. He recalled how the same thing happened when he and Tonto Dikeh had issues in the past, yet they have since reconciled and moved on as friends.

“It is quite unfortunate that many Nigerians seem to take pleasure in negative news, especially when it concerns the personal lives of others,” he wrote.

Reflecting on his own experience, he continued, “When Tonto and I had our differences, many people rejoiced and threw unnecessary tantrums. Today, we remain good friends and have moved past those issues.”

Kpokpogri noted that a similar pattern is now playing out in the case of Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels, lamenting that instead of showing compassion, many people are finding joy in their challenges.

“Now, the same attitude is being shown towards Senator Ned Nwoko and his wife, Regina. Rather than showing empathy or wishing them well, some people appear to find joy in their challenges,” he said.

He went on to question whether those mocking the couple are free from their own family troubles or simply driven by envy and idle talk.

“One wonders if such individuals are free from their own family problems or simply driven by envy and idle talk,” he added.

Kpokpogri stressed that every marriage faces difficulties and misunderstandings, but he believes Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels will work through theirs.

“Every marriage faces its own trials and misunderstandings. I strongly believe they will resolve their differences because Senator Ned is a good man who always prioritizes his family above all else,” he stated.

He ended his post with a call for compassion and encouragement, urging Nigerians to be more supportive of others instead of celebrating their pain.

“Let us learn to support and uplift others instead of celebrating their difficult moments,” Kpokpogri advised.
