Judy Didn’t Use Juju, She Gave Yul the Respect His Wife Stopped Giving – Uche Maduagwu

Controversial Nollywood actor and social media personality, Uche Maduagwu, has weighed in on the ongoing divorce saga between actor Yul Edochie and his estranged wife, May Edochie, stating that Yul’s second wife, Judy Austin, did not use charms or “juju” on him as widely speculated.

In a recent social media post, Uche defended Judy’s role in the marriage, attributing Yul’s attraction to her to the way she treated him rather than any alleged spiritual manipulation.

“Judy did not use juju for Yul Edochie,” he wrote. “She only treated him like the king that his wife refused to treat him like in marriage. 80% of women treat their man like kings before wedding but forget to continue after wedding.”

Maduagwu’s remarks appear to suggest that many marriages fall apart due to a lack of continuous emotional investment from wives, especially after the wedding ceremony. Drawing from biblical references and traditional expectations, he expressed concern that modern women are beginning to treat their husbands more like partners than kings.

“Do I support what Judy did to my Queen May? No,” Uche clarified. “Everyone knows I no dey support am, but this should also be a good lesson to married women. So many married men are being neglected in their marriages but they can’t complain.”

The actor, who has a reputation for weighing in on celebrity relationships with bold and often controversial takes, emphasized that men still desire to feel respected and valued in their homes. He lamented that many wives now see their husbands merely as equals, rather than leaders or lords in line with religious and cultural teachings.

“Many married women now see their husbands as partners and not lords, like Sarah saw Abraham in the Bible. Every married man wants to be treated like a king every day, but how many are being treated like kings?” he added.

His post sparked mixed reactions online, with some netizens agreeing with his perspective on the dynamics of respect and emotional support in marriage, while others criticized him for justifying Judy’s intrusion into an existing union.

The divorce between Yul and May Edochie has remained one of the most talked-about topics in Nigeria’s entertainment space, particularly since Yul introduced Judy Austin as his second wife. The relationship, which began amidst heavy backlash and speculation, has continued to stir debate across social media platforms.

Uche Maduagwu’s latest commentary adds another layer to the ongoing discussion, pointing fingers not just at Judy, but also at perceived emotional lapses within traditional marriages that may drive men into other relationships.

As the divorce proceedings between Yul and May continue to unfold, fans and followers remain divided, with some blaming Judy for the broken marriage and others questioning whether deeper issues existed long before she came into the picture.
