Former Big Brother Naija housemate and chef, Uriel Oputa, has issued a firm reminder to Nigerians to stay out of other people’s personal matters.

Taking to her Instagram story, the reality star addressed what she described as an unhealthy obsession with people’s lives and success stories. She cautioned the public against claiming other people’s blessings without understanding the struggles behind them.

In her words:
“Ladies and Gentlemen, let’s clarify something today,
There are certain things that are nobody’s business – and I mean nobody.”

She particularly took issue with the popular phrase “Let me tap into your blessing,” warning that people often admire outcomes without knowing the hardship that led there.

“Let me tap into your blessing – Stop that. Don’t tap into what you don’t understand. You don’t know the sacrifice, the process, the pain and the journey.
Tap into your own blessing, work your own lane, stay focused on your path.
Simple!”

Uriel went on to emphasize that people have a right to their privacy, declaring that not everything should be up for public scrutiny or commentary.

“Now, let’s list the things that are absolutely nobody’s business:
Because, guess what?
It’s your life, journey, and story – and you owe no one an explanation.”

Her comments sparked conversations online, with many applauding her for advocating personal boundaries and self-direction.
