“Peter Obi shouldn’t be smiling upon meeting Tinubu” – Media Personality, Daniel Regha, Goes Off On Peter Obi

Popular social media commentator, Daniel Regha, has chided the 2023 Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi as he was all smiles when he and the former Eliti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi met with Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at the Vatican.

“Peter Obi shouldn’t be smiling upon meeting Tinubu, and shouldn’t be exchanging greetings at the Vatican after all that has been said, politics in Nigeria is an absolute joke”

President Bola Tinubu, Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, and former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi met at Pope Leo XIV’s installation mass on Sunday in Rome.

Mr Fayemi spotted President Tinubu, where he sat with other leaders and asked Mr Obi to follow him to welcome the Nigerian President, Mr Obi agreed.

Mr Fayemi said:

“Mr President, welcome to our church, and thank you for honouring the Pope with your presence.”

President Tinubu, ever quick-witted, responded: “I should be the one welcoming you and Peter. I’m the Head of the Nigerian Delegation.”

The president’s reply cracked up Peter Obi, who agreed with the president.

Mr Obi said: “Yes, indeed. We are members of your delegation”.
