Actor Leo Mezie Dies After Battling Kidney Disease For Years
Veteran Nollywood Actor, Leo Mezie is dead.
The sad news of his demise was shared on Monday by his colleague, Chioma Toplis.
This comes barely a month after veteran actors, David Osagie and Gbenga Richards died.
According to Chioma, the 45-year old actor died on Saturday in Abuja while recovering from a kidney transplant.
“Actor Leo Mezie is dead. He died on Saturday in Abuja while recovering from a kidney transplant. His corpse has been moved to Umuahia his hometown. RIP Leo.” She wrote.
Note that earlier in July 2016, word got out that the actor was down with a kidney-related disease.
Back then, Leo Mezie shared his account details and welcomed contributions while his colleagues rallied round to raise the over 60,000 pounds required to carry out a transplant.
