Former Manchester United star Paul Pogba was moved to tears as he signed his contract with Monaco, marking an emotional return to football after his lengthy doping ban.
The former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder was initially handed a four-year suspension in August 2023 after failing a drugs test. However, the ban was later reduced to 18 months in October last year.
Although Pogba’s ban officially ended earlier this year, his contract with Juventus had already been mutually terminated.
According to Monaco’s announcement, the 32-year-old has now penned a two-year contract with the Champions League club, which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2027.
