Nigerian digital content creator Izzy Ogbeide, who was recently criticized by actress Doris Ogala over comments on Phyna, has once again sparked online debate.

In a recent video, Izzy drew comparisons between Priscilla Ojo’s traditional wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux and Temi Otedola’s wedding to musician Mr Eazi.

She suggested that Temi’s ceremony leaned more toward a “white wedding” style, whereas Priscilla’s celebration embodied authentic African traditions.

According to Izzy, Priscilla’s wedding was the kind of ceremony many mothers dream of for their daughters, highlighting family pride and cultural heritage.

Izzy added that while many young women hope to create similarly joyful experiences for their mothers—like Iyabo Ojo’s daughter did—Temi Otedola’s wedding did not convey the same traditional sentiment.

She said, “Otedola wedding be like Oyinbo wedding e no speak English talkless of Yoruba, the marriage no speak pidgin, I no see am, it’s not a Nigerian wedding, it’s like white people wedding, the wedding can’t stand compared to Priscilla Ojo wedding, Priscilla wedding class was crying, Africa was crying, beauty was crying, owambe was crying, everything they know about Nigeria was crying.”

Her comments quickly circulated on social media, generating a mix of reactions, with some users agreeing with her view and others criticizing her comparisons.
