“So Annoying” Actress Chizzy Alichi Slams Nigerians Telling Her She Is ‘Next in Line’ After Congratulating Pregnant Colleagues

Nollywood actress Chizzy Alichi has expressed her frustration over social media users who tell her she is “next in line” to conceive whenever she congratulates her pregnant colleagues.

The actress recently left a congratulatory message under Chika Ike’s maternity photos, writing:

“God is faithful, congratulations my lady.”

However, her comment was met with several responses from netizens telling her that she would be the next to experience pregnancy. This did not sit well with Chizzy, who took to social media to react strongly against the remarks.

She wrote:

“You are next, I don’t understand. Did I complain to you? Are you in my family? Do you know what our issues are? One of the reasons I hardly comment, post, or congratulate my colleagues or anybody on my page when they welcome a baby—these comments are so annoying. Jesus!”

Chizzy’s reaction has since sparked mixed reactions online. While some fans empathized with her, others insisted that the phrase “you are next” is meant to be a positive and encouraging statement.

The actress, who has been married since 2019, has often faced public pressure regarding motherhood, a common issue many female celebrities encounter in Nigeria.
