Notable Achievements:

Beyoncé made history as the first Black woman to win a Grammy in a country music category with her album Cowboy Carter.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” secured both Record and Song of the Year. Doechii became the second solo female rapper to win Best Rap Album, dedicating her award to Black girls everywhere.

The ceremony also featured tributes to Los Angeles, raising $7 million for wildfire relief efforts, and honored music legends like Quincy Jones and The Beatles. Performances by artists such as Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan added to the night’s memorable moments.

Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems secured her second Grammy win, taking home the award for Best African Music Performance with her hit single “Love Me Jeje.”

In her heartfelt acceptance speech, Tems dedicated the award to her mother, expressing gratitude for her unwavering support.

This achievement further solidifies Tems’ position in the global music scene, following her previous Grammy win for her contribution to Future’s “Wait for U.”

The Best African Music Performance category featured strong competition, including nominees such as Burna Boy, Davido, Asake, and Yemi Alade.
