“Stop The Desmond Elliot Joke, It’s Becoming Annoying “- Actress Toyin Abraham Tells Nigerians



AMVCA 2020 best actress, Toyin Abraham has pleaded with Nigerians to stop using the name “Desmond Elliot” to joke on blogs and different social media platforms.

Recall that some months ago, Nigerians dragged Desmond Elliot on social media after he called for the regulation of social media.


For some days now, Nigerians have been using the name “Desmond Elliot” to joke on social media.


Reacting to this, Toyin tweeted some hours ago:


“Please can we all stop this Desmond Elliot joke, please this is actually annoying now, I feel if we continue with this then….”


A fan commented:

“Mummy you wan subscribe for dragging. Just stand down abeg”


Toyin replied


“I don’t support him but the joke now is annoying cos we need to be more serious,so people can see we are serious.”

In another news, Annie Idibia has slammed a troll over a comment he made on her post. Earlier on, the actress shared a video of herself and her daughter in an interactive session. Taking to her comment session, a troll told her to keep her daughter off the eyes of Ned Nwoko. Responding to the comment, Annie called the troll a “mumu”.

Popular nollywood actor, Walter Anga has lamented over the cost of satchet water now in Nigeria and the low minimum wage workers recieve.

A sachet of pure water is now #20…What is left for a common man? When he can’t afford to buy 2k units for electricity in a month talkless of him paying his house rent @150k annually and minimum wage is #30k. Time dey come when the poor will feed from the rich by fire by force”


Walter Anga was born on 12th January 1978 in Port-Harcourt, River State in the south southern part of Nigeria to Chief Stephen Anga and Mrs. Evelyn Anga. He’s in his early forties.


He is originally from Ogu, a small village in Ogu/Bolo local government area of River State in the south southern part of Nigeria.

Actress Iyabo Ojo Sues Yomi Fabiyi For Defamation



Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has sued actor Yomi Fabiyi over his defamatory posts.

A day ago, Yomi Fabiyi led a protest to Panti Police station demanding his colleague, Olanrewaju Omiyinka popularly known as Baba Ijesha is released on bail. He stated that detaining Baba Ijesha is an abuse of human rights.


In the placards and banners he carried with fellow protesters, there were different inscriptions such as ‘denial of bail of bail of bailable offence is human rights violation’, ‘Nigeria police, please allow the law to dictate to you, not Iyabo Ojo, Princess and co’, ‘release Baba Ijesha’, and ‘Nigeria police must respect human rights and honour bail for bailable offence’.

The actress has sued Yomi over the mention of her name in the placards. She is demanding an immediate retraction of defamatory publication, a public apology and payment of N100 million in damages.

Iyabo Ojo’s lawyers, The Maverick Forte Legal, have warned that the demand must be met within 14days else a legal proceedings will come into full force.
