Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the English Premier League and EFL have been postponed till April 4 and 3 respectively at the earliest.

The decision was made on Friday morning following the news of Arsenal’s manager Mikel Arteta testing positive for coronavirus and Chelsea’s youngster Hudson Odoi.

The English Premier League, EFL, FA, Barclays FA Women’s Super League, FA Women’s Championship and all youth tournaments have all been postponed to April at the earliest.

 

A number of Premier League clubs have put their players in self-isolation as a member of the team has been in contact with an infected person.

The news was confirmed in a statement: “The FA, Premier League, EFL and Barclays FA Women’s Super League and FA Women’s Championship have collectively agreed to postpone the professional game in England until 3 April at the earliest.

As cases of infected players and staff has been on the rise, UEFA have also decided to postpone all competitions including the UEFA Champions League and Europa League till further notice.

The German Football League have also confirmed that the top two divisions have been cancelled from this weekend and will be on suspension until April 2 at the earliest.
