Five Serie A matches postponed due to coronavirus outbreak in Italy

Juventus vs Inter Milan are among five Serie A matches which were scheduled for this weekend but have been postponed to May 13 due to the coronavirus outbreak in Italy.

This weekend fixtures had originally be arranged to be played behind close doors in an attempt to slow down the spread of coronavirus in Italy.

 

However, the Serie A announced on Saturday morning that five fixtures scheduled to hold this weekend will be rescheduled for on Wednesday, May 13. Juventus and Inter Milan who are on the top of the Serie A table were among the listed matches to be rescheduled.

 

The other fixtures who were postponed are Udinese v Fiorentina, Milan v Genoa, Parma v Spal and Sassuolo v Brescia. Some sources believe that the Seria A officials didn’t want these match to be played behind close doors.

 

Lazio vs Bologna and Napoli vs Torino who were scheduled to play on Saturday are expected to still play as they were not among the postponed matches.
